the yellowing moon keeps shrinking

thinking
surrounded by decadence and useless
drinking
i'm drifting through the floes
i suppose
this vessel's sinking,

the ice in my hand is shaking
and as the water rises
my tenuous grip starts breaking

one hand is on the rail
the glass in my hand is falling
some action seems required
but i just can't keep from stalling
